Beech-Nut Oatmeal – 1962
Beech-Nut Oatmeal
Located in the kitchen of tomorrow, loaded with all the modern conveniences the modern woman could want is this vintage photo of a box of Beech-Nut Oatmeal – Pre-cooked for Babies. This product is still made today, but apparently the marketing department decided to change the box to appeal to parents instead of childre [...]
Tower of Presents
This is one of the most interesting and creative displays of Christmas presents I’ve ever seen. Dubbed Tower of Presents we see them stacked with silver tubes of some sort. This was from Christmas of 1970.

Christmas Miniatures – 1970
When younger, I was always somewhat fascinated by the dioramas of Christmas Miniatures. Actually, miniatures of any type which led to a quite a few hobby/obsessions over the years.
I don’t know if they exist anymore, but I dimly remember there being a large line of ceramic or plastic miniatures to make [...]
Edinburgh Castle – 1965

Dapper Gentleman – 1950s
The Dapper Gentleman at home
This vintage photo of the dapper gentleman was taken back when men wore ties even around the house. The purple trim on the robe is pretty cool too. I wonder where one could find a robe like that these days, and how much it’d cost. No doubt back in the 1950’s these robes c [...]

How to Scan 35mm Slides – Part 4: Photoshop
Back to Part 3: Epson Scan Software
Rather then make a list of step by step instructions on how to fix photos that are scanned in from 35mm slides, I will provide links to other resources. I suspect an entire book could be easily written about this subject.
To further complicate matters, the [...]

How to Scan 35mm Slides – Part 3: Epson Scan Software
back to Part 2: Scanning Slides
The Epson Scan Software is pretty complicated at first. It has several downsides though.
First there is no real “auto-configuration” option like some scanners have. The software has to be reconfigured each time you switch formats. It also [...]
