1939 Chevrolet Wrecker
1939 Chevrolet Wrecker owned by Purdy, Shell. Purdy is a small town SW of Seattle Washington on the other side of Puget Sound. Photo was taken sometime in 1970. The Shell station there seems to be long gone, and it is unclear if this truck was still in daily use then although I suspect it likely was.
1923 HCS or at least part of one
I love this photo from September 1970. It is labeled 1923 HCS – Chehalis (a city in Washington state.) It looks like it was likely at a swap meet of some sort, but you wouldn’t be able to tell what they were looking at if it wasn’t for the label on the slide.
1929 Studebaker
Three views of a 1929 Studebaker, taken in Portland Oregon by an unknown photographer. The slides are labeled “Harry Weber’s 1929 Stude”
I’d dearly love to know the story of this VW Bus. Did this family rent it on their tour in Europe? Did they just buy it and wanted to show it off to family? Picture is an unknown year and location. Late 1950s to early 1960’s I’d guess. I have another picture of this same woman, looking a few years older from 1968.
1967 Olds Cutlass
I don’t know much about this car. It may actually be a 1964 instead of a 1967 as according to Wikipedia the “dumbbell” shaped grill was introduced in 1965. The picture was taken (processed) in 1967 according to the date code on the 35mm slide.
The sticker on the license plate says “Explore Florida [...]

*update* – the car in front is a French made Simca Aronde. It was not sold in the US, so it was shipped over. The car in the back is a 1955 Plymou [...]
