We saw this VW Bus a couple of days ago. It still in nondescript European country though. The slide is a few years newer then the first one, so I wonder if the girl in this picture was one of the two girls in the first one. Or if it’s someone else totally.
1965 Cruise on the North Sea. Written on the slide is “Dotty on boat from Newcastle on-Tyne, Scotland to Esjberg, Denmark. North Sea.”
Newcastle upon Tyne is a historic city in North East England. It has been a wool center, a major coal mining area, and during the 16th Century, among the world’s largest shipbuilding and repair centers.
The destination port, Esbjerg Denmark, is a fishing center and provides services to oil rigs in the North Seas. Does any one know what the ship name would have been during this time frame?
