I’m not quite sure where this picture was taken, but I love the detail in it. We have a mountain town of some sort, having a parade. Two mules (one is hidden behind the other,) are being pulled through the streets by a couple of young men. One has a sign saying “Al Gas Al Service 836(?) Bear Lane.”
I want to say this is some place Keystone South Dakota, near Mount Rushmore because of other slides in the collection. But I’m not able to find a Bear Lane there, nor in Rapid City. Unfortunately not much else is useful in this picture, “Ranch House,” is a pretty common name for restaurants even today.
