Egyptian Art – 1950s
Dating from sometime in the 1950s, I found these glass slides highlighting four different types of Egyptian Art. The collection looks like it belonged to a teacher as a few of the slides are labeled “history” or “art.”
Among those labeled “art” the first one is some hieroglyphics. We see the raven, and a worker bowing, or perhaps eating out of another’s hand.
I don’t know where this was taken specifically, so I don’t know who this engraved piece would have been.
Then we see some more art, this time a painted ship and some urns. I’m sure an Egyptologist could interpret these pretty easily.
For some reason this last piece speaks to me as it is very familiar. I’d really like to know who, and where, it is.
