Easter Sunday – 1955

Every time I look at this first photo of four women dressed for Easter Sunday, the lady on the far left reminds me of Nathan Lane in The Birdcage.

After the service, it looks like the photographer said “Wave hello to the camera!” and caught our ladies somewhat unaware.

Of course, such a nice day would not be complete without a short sit in the garden. Look at those gorgeous tulips in the background!

I always wonder if the people in these old pictures are still alive. Even the children. I like the dress the middle one has on, the color is very nice and Spring.

Every time I see this gentleman smoking, I think of the old Lucky Strike cigarette commercials. I believe he’s an airman from the US Airforce, but I do not know military uniforms that well to tell for sure.
