1965 Cruise on the North Sea. Written on the slide is “Dotty on boat from Newcastle on-Tyne, Scotland to Esjberg, Denmark. North Sea.”
Newcastle upon Tyne is a historic city in North East England. It has been a wool center, a major coal mining area, and during the 16th Century, among the world’s largest shipbuilding and repair centers.
The destination port, Esbjerg Denmark, is a fishing center and provides services to oil rigs in the North Seas. Does any one know what the ship name would have been during this time frame?
